Wondering what this was all about, I looked up and saw what struck me as one of the most wonderful inventions of all time: a curved shower-curtain rod. And grateful, not only to the inspired inventor who came up with the concept, but also to the hotel that was thoughtful enough to install it. In fact, the reason I noticed the curtain at all was that it was standing completely still. Stepping into the shower, I tugged on the curtain. To my surprise (and delight), there was no vacuum of air sucking in the unruly vinyl and trapping me against the wall. I shuffled my sleepy feet into the bathroom and turned on the water. I was attending a conference at a resort in Palm Springs, and I rolled out of bed before dawn to get to an early seminar. Another method would be to drill the tile and glass and bolt the rod in place that way. The gym where I work out also uses this type of rod. I use an expanding rod. If the tension rod won’t work, there are other options. We would like to install glass on the top of the bulkhead and then run a shower curtain from the vertical metal support to the tile wall. The shower head and tile wall on the the left side and a five foot bulkhead is on the right side. You put it in place and then twist one end to expand it and basically wedge it into place. Shower in question is a tub. It would take some care, but both the tile and glass can be drilled with carbide bits. You could try to find an epoxy that adheres to glass and tile....
