The art of hanging art in your home
Meaning if you have a vertical wall, or one that is higher than it is wide, you will need to use a vertical picture while conversely you will need to use a horizontal piece for a wide wall. The best overall viewing height for a picture is one that uses 5 ft. 6 in. to 5 ft. 8 in. above the floor as the centerpiece for where the picture is hung. Using a grouping of pictures requires more thought how to arrange it. What you want to avoid is to randomly just hang the pictures. There are exceptions to this rule such as if the viewer is very tall or if it is a two story wall which will require upward adjusting of the picture hanging height.
